Why Cover It

Keep sun, leaves and weather off your robot.

A Dolphin spends most of its life out of the water, parked on the caddy. That is where UV fades and stiffens the plastics, where leaves and grit pack into the tracks, and where a storm leaves it sitting in a puddle. The Classic Caddy Cover slips over the robot and caddy in seconds and ends all three.

Shields from leaves and dust

Keeps leaves, dust and dirt out of the tracks, the filter lid and the brush channels while the robot sits poolside between cleanings.

Fit

Simple slip-on fit

Cut for the Dolphin Universal Caddy with the robot on board. Drop it over the top; no straps to thread on the Classic.

Lifespan

Extends robot life

Less sun and weather exposure means tracks, brushes and the cable jacket stay supple longer. It is the cheapest insurance a pool robot gets.

Classic vs. Premium

Two covers, one caddy.

Both fit a Dolphin on the Universal Caddy. The Classic is the simple slip-on. The Premium adds a strap and heavier material for decks that take wind and weather head-on.

Protect the Investment

Protect the robot that protects your pool.

A Dolphin is built to live in chlorinated water. It is the hours on the deck in direct sun that age it. A cover costs less than a replacement brush and buys seasons.

The Poolside Setup

Caddy, cover, and a home for the power supply.

Dolphin Universal Caddy
Made for the Universal Caddy

Roll it, park it, cover it.

The cover is cut to the Dolphin Universal Caddy with the robot on board, so the whole setup rolls to the pool, parks in the shade and disappears under the cover in one motion. Power supply mounted on the caddy, cable coiled, nothing on the deck.

Dolphin Universal Caddy: $145, fits every Dolphin.

Store It Right

Dry, shaded, and out of the sun.

Maytronics' storage advice is short: keep the robot and power supply in a dry place away from direct sunlight, and run the power supply from a covered, shaded spot at least 12 feet from the water on a GFCI outlet. The cover handles the sun and dust part every day; indoors is still the answer for the off-season.

Buying Guide

Which Dolphin caddy cover should I buy?

If the robot parks under a roof, a patio cover or a pergola and the enemies are sun and dust, the Classic Caddy Cover does the job for less. If it lives on an open deck that takes wind and sideways rain, the Premium Caddy Cover earns its price with the built-in strap that keeps it from lifting and a heavier weather-resistant shell.

Either cover assumes the Dolphin sits on the Universal Caddy, which is the caddy that fits every Dolphin robot, from the Max-Series™ Escape and Cayman to the ProLine™ Premier and Sigma. Rolling the robot instead of carrying it protects the cable swivel as much as it protects your back.

Want the robot to spend less time on the deck at all? A weekly timer power supply leaves it in the pool on a schedule, and NanoFilters™ make every scheduled cycle count.

Care

Hose it off. Let it dry. Done.

Rinse the cover with a garden hose when it collects dust or pollen and hang it to air dry. Skip harsh chemicals and the washing machine, and it will outlast the brushes it protects.

Questions & Answers

Dolphin caddy covers: frequently asked questions

Which caddy does the Classic Caddy Cover fit?

It is made for the Dolphin Universal Caddy, the standard caddy that fits every Dolphin robot. It slips over the robot while it sits on the caddy. Using a different caddy? Send us a photo and we will confirm the fit.

What is the difference between the Classic and Premium Caddy Cover?

Both cover a Dolphin on its Universal Caddy. The Classic is the simple slip-on cover. The Premium adds a built-in strap that holds it in place and a heavier weather-resistant material, which makes it the choice for windy, exposed decks.

Can the power supply stay under the cover?

The cover drops over the robot and caddy, so a power supply mounted on the caddy sits beneath it. Maytronics still asks for the power supply to live in a covered, shaded spot at least 12 feet from the pool, on a GFCI outlet, so treat the cover as shade and dust protection rather than weatherproofing for the electronics.

Does the cover keep the robot dry in the rain?

It sheds rain and keeps standing water off the robot, which is what a splash-resistant pool cleaner needs. It is not a sealed bag: for winter or the off-season, Maytronics recommends storing the robot and power supply indoors in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

Why cover a robot that lives in a pool anyway?

Sun. UV breaks down the plastics, brushes and cable jacket over time, and leaves and dust pack into the tracks and filter lid while the robot waits. Covering it between cycles is the cheapest way to add seasons to a Dolphin.

How do I clean the cover?

Hose it off and let it air dry. Avoid harsh chemicals and machine washing.

Not sure it fits?

Classic or Premium? Ask us which cover suits your deck.

Tell us where the robot lives between cleanings, in full sun, under a roof or out in the weather, and we will point you to the right cover. Both ship free from our warehouse with 30-day returns.
