When it comes to robotic pool cleaners, the Dolphin Nautilus series stands out for its innovation and efficiency. Among the lineup, the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up and the Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro are two models that promise exceptional cleaning performance. Let’s dive into an extensive review and see how these units compare.

Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro: Top of the Line with a Hefty Price Tag

The Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro is marketed as a top-of-the-line pool cleaner, featuring dual scrubbing brushes and a flow rate of 4,500 GPH. These features ensure powerful cleaning, effectively tackling dirt, debris, and algae on pool floors and walls. The inclusion of an automation timer via the app is a valuable addition, allowing for scheduled cleanings and reducing the need for manual operation.

The Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro does lack a high-capacity filter bag, which could mean more frequent maintenance and interruptions if there is a lot of debris in the pool. Priced at $1,199, the Nautilus CC Pro is the one of the most expensive Dolphin Nautilus Models. However, with only a 1 year warranty, no NanoFilters, and not utilizing the commercial-grade motors like the Dolphin ProLine models — which carry up to a 3 year warranty — you may want to consider upgrading to one of these before buying.

Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up: Simple Entry-Level Cleaning

The new Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up covers the essentials at a more accessible price point. With 4,500 GPH motors and a high-capacity filter bag, it delivers dependable everyday cleaning. It's an entry-level cleaner — it skips the advanced filtration, timer and longer warranty of the premium lineups, but handles the basics well.

Dual Scrubbing Brushes and High Suction Power

The Pool Up is equipped with dual scrubbing brushes that provide unmatched cleaning performance. These brushes work together to dislodge and remove dirt, algae, and debris from every corner of your pool. The powerful flow rate of 4,500 GPH, driven by high-output motors borrowed from Dolphin’s commercial line, ensures that your pool is cleaned efficiently. The suction power of the Pool Up matches the CC Pro, making it a capable choice for everyday cleaning at a much lower price.

High-Capacity Filter Bag

One of the standout features of the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up is its high-capacity filter bag, which comes standard. This allows for extended cleaning cycles with fewer interruptions, making it perfect for pools that accumulate a lot of debris.

The oversized filter bag is a real advantage over the CC Pro, which relies on a smaller cartridge and lacks the high-capacity bag option.

Advanced Wall Climbing Technology

The Pool Up’s advanced wall climbing capabilities ensure that every surface of your pool, from the floor to the top of the walls, is meticulously cleaned. State-of-the-art sensors and algorithms enable precise navigation, allowing the cleaner to tackle walls and obstacles with ease.

This results in a more thorough clean and improved water circulation, maintaining balanced water chemistry and preventing harmful bacteria and algae buildup. The CC Pro delivers a similar level of wall cleaning.

Simple and Affordable

Priced at at $799 Now $599 for a limited time, the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up keeps things simple. It delivers dependable cleaning power and comprehensive floor-and-wall coverage at a price that makes it accessible to a wide range of pool owners. Compared to the pricier Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro, the Pool Up covers the essentials for far less — though it remains an entry-level cleaner without the weekly timer or premium features of the higher lineups.

Conclusion

In the head-to-head comparison between the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up and the Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro, the Nautilus Pool Up holds its own and is about half the price. It offers dependable cleaning, a high-capacity filter bag and an easy plug-and-play design. While the Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro is marketed as a premium cleaner, it delivers a similar level of everyday cleaning as the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up. For pool owners who want a simple entry-level cleaner in the Dolphin Nautilus Lineup, the Dolphin Nautilus Pool Up is the logical choice.

Our Top Recommendation: Step Up to the ProLine™

At this price the Pool Up is the smarter value — but if you're willing to spend near what the CC Pro costs, our top recommendation is the Dolphin Quantum, the entry ProLine™. It brings commercial-grade motors, an XXL MaxBin™ with NanoFilters™, full floor-to-waterline cleaning, SmartNav 2.0™ and a longer warranty — far more robot than the CC Pro for a similar spend.
