When should I use a clarifier?

The answer

What to know.

Use a clarifier when:

  • Water looks cloudy after balancing the sanitizer and pH.
  • Fine particles are making the water look dull.
  • Heavy spa use temporarily overwhelms filtration.

However, a clarifier is not a substitute for proper water maintenance. While it helps remove particles that affect water clarity, it won't correct cloudy water caused by low sanitizer levels, poor water balance, or old water.

For best results, always maintain proper sanitizer levels and balanced water chemistry first.
