Can I use my Dolphin with an extension cord or surge protector?
What to know.
The Dolphin is not designed to be used with an extension cord, surge protectors, or any other electrical component other than those originally manufactured by Maytronics.
Always use an electrical outlet protected with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) device; (this will protect the power supply from unexpected power surges). Using an extension cord with your Dolphin robot cleaner can cause overheating, voltage drops, and damage to both the cord and the robot. It can also expose the device to electrical hazards, especially if the cord lacks proper grounding.
