The Best Robotic Pool Cleaners with Ultra Fine Filters: Dolphin Picks
Not all robotic pool cleaners are built the same. These are the machines we'd put in a pool with Ultra Fine Filters — chosen for filtration, coverage, and reliability, and every one is a genuine Dolphin.
The term "robotic pool cleaner" covers everything from bargain floor-only vacuums to commercial-grade machines. When you're shopping with Ultra Fine Filters, the difference between the wrong robot and the right one is filtration, coverage, and build quality — three areas where Dolphin robots by Maytronics consistently lead.
Ultra-fine filtration captures the smallest particles a pool robot can — the difference between water that looks clean and water that looks brand new. It's the top priority for anyone fighting fine dirt, silt, or a persistent haze.
What to look for in a robotic pool cleaner with Ultra Fine Filters
For the finest results, choose a robot with ultra-fine filter media or NanoFilters, or add Dolphin's UltraFilter upgrade kit to a compatible model. Ultra-fine media captures microscopic debris and keeps water polished. Pair it with a robot that covers the whole floor evenly so nothing is missed.
- Ultra-fine / Nano media
- UltraFilter upgrade compatibility
- Even, complete floor coverage
- Easy-rinse, reusable filters

Frequently asked questions
Which robotic cleaner has the finest filters?
Dolphin models with NanoFilters, like the Quantum and Sigma, offer the finest standard filtration (down to ~2 microns). The Premier's multi-media system also accepts ultra-fine cartridges.
What is the UltraFilter upgrade?
It's a fine-filter kit that boosts a compatible Dolphin's filtration for capturing smaller particles. See our UltraFilter page for compatibility.
Do ultra-fine filters slow down cleaning?
No — they capture more without slowing the robot. They fill sooner in dirty water but rinse clean quickly.
