The Best Dolphin Robotic Pool Cleaners for Acorns
We carry every Dolphin robot by Maytronics. Here are the models built to handle acorns best — with the filtration, brushes, and navigation that matter most for Acorns.
Dolphin builds one of the widest robotic pool cleaner lineups on the market, so choosing the right one for Acorns comes down to matching the robot's filter, brushes, and navigation to the job.
Acorns are dense and bulky — they sink fast, roll into the deep end, and can jam an undersized intake or overfill a small basket. You need a robot with a wide intake and a genuinely large debris bin.
What to look for in a robotic pool cleaner for Acorns
For acorns, prioritize a large intake and bin capacity. A wide suction opening swallows acorns without clogging, and an oversized MaxBin (or leaf bag) holds a season's worth. Strong suction lifts the heavy nuts off the floor, and good deep-end coverage matters because that's where acorns roll.
- Wide intake that won't clog
- Large-capacity MaxBin or leaf bag
- Strong suction for dense acorns
- Reliable deep-end coverage

Frequently asked questions
Can a robotic pool cleaner pick up acorns?
Yes, as long as it has a wide intake and a large bin. Models with the oversized leaf bag or XXL MaxBin, like the Premier and Quantum, handle acorns easily.
Will acorns clog or damage my robot?
A robot with a wide intake and large bin won't clog on acorns. Just empty the bin before it fills so the robot keeps full suction.
What if I have both acorns and leaves?
The Dolphin Premier's leaf bag is ideal for mixed heavy debris — it captures acorns and leaves together with room to spare.
