Dolphin’s corded robots fall into three families we ship free. What the cable makes possible
Taken from the Dolphin Wave lineup.
ProLine™ robots use the same motors as Dolphin’s commercial Wave cleaners, filtering over 75 gallons a minute and outputting more than 4,500 gallons an hour; the Sigma runs three. Max-Series™ robots pair dual 24-volt motors moving over 4,000 gallons an hour with a design so efficient a two-hour Cayman cycle costs about 10 cents.

Cable length on every corded Dolphin
Escape: 40 ft tangle-resistant cord. E10: 40 ft. Cayman: 50 ft PowerFlex cord. Explorer E20: 50 ft. Quantum, Premier and Sigma: 55 ft with a 360° anti-tangle swivel. Explorer E30, E50 and E70: 60 ft with an anti-tangle swivel. Nautilus Titan: 60 ft. Wave 60 to Wave 140: 60 to 140 ft. Place the power supply centred on the long side of the pool, back from the water as the manual specifies, and the cable reaches both ends with slack to spare.
Why we recommend corded Dolphins first
A corded Dolphin on a weekly timer is the closest thing to a pool that cleans itself: no charging, no pressing start, no fishing it out by hand before the next cycle. The cable also carries the power for commercial-grade motors, 2-micron filtration and waterline scrubbing, none of which the cordless Dolphins match yet, and corded models carry the longest warranties in the range. If the cable itself is the obstacle, the cordless Dolphins remove it.

Which corded Dolphin is the best?
The Dolphin Premier for most in-ground pools: floor, walls and waterline on pools up to 50 ft, Multi-Media filtration with NanoFilters and a leaf bag, dual active brushes, a 55 ft swivel cable and a 3-year warranty. The Quantum is the best seller; the Sigma adds a gyroscope, app control and triple motors.
How long is the cable on a Dolphin pool robot?
From 40 ft on the Escape and E10 to 50 ft on the Cayman and Explorer E20, 55 ft on the Quantum, Premier and Sigma, and 60 ft on the Explorer E30, E50 and E70 and the Nautilus Titan. Commercial Wave robots carry 60 to 140 ft.
Does the Dolphin cable tangle?
Not with the 360-degree anti-tangle swivel on the ProLine and Explorer E30 to E70, or the PowerFlex cord on the Cayman. Laying the cable in the sun for a few minutes before the first run of the season removes its coil memory.
Which corded Dolphins have a weekly timer?
The Quantum, Premier and Cayman carry a weekly timer in the power supply. The Sigma and the Explorer E30, E50 and E70 schedule through the myDolphin Plus app. The Weekly Timer power supply upgrade adds scheduling to other compatible models.
Can a corded Dolphin clean an above-ground pool?
Yes. The Escape (floor) and Cayman (floor and walls) are rated for above-ground pools up to 33 ft, with a 40 and 50 ft cord respectively.
Is it safe to swim while the robot is running?
Maytronics says not to swim while the robot operates. Corded Dolphins run on low-voltage DC from a power supply that sits back from the water, but the moving robot and its cable are not something to share the pool with. Run it before you swim or overnight.
Can I leave a pool robot in the pool?
You can leave a corded Dolphin in the water between cycles, but Maytronics recommends removing it when it is not cleaning to extend the life of the cable, brushes and seals and to keep it out of chemical shock treatments. Cordless robots come out to charge anyway; most owners lift them by the handle after each cycle.
